Settings for advertising from Facebook. Avoid targeted ads.

Have you noticed that in some advertisements from Facebook, private information about yourself appears, such as interests, place of residence, job etc.?

If you do not want this to appear in advertisements, it is possible to turn it off here:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads&view

Go through the different settings and adjust to your needs.

In general, targeted ads can be annoying. A plugin in your browser can help here, which removes advertisements. There are a lot of them, such as AdBlock Plus. You can also delete your browser history and cookies. Another method to avoid tracking is to open the page in “incognito”/private window.

You can also use another browser, for general web surfing, which therefore cannot see if you are logged on to FaceBook or other sites in your primary browser.
Browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge.
